Isenberg offers flexibility that allows students to pair the management major with a complementary field of study, such as computer science, foreign languages, music and performing arts, and environmental science. For those students what want to specialize, we offer three Concentrations: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, Human Resource Management and Sustainable Business Practices

The Berthiaume Center for Entrepreneurship plays a central role promoting entrepreneurship and innovation across the UMass Amherst campus. Headquartered in the Isenberg School of Management, the Center is a cross-campus network of scholars, innovators, and entrepreneurs, with a three-fold mission of supporting research, education, and practice, all targeted at facilitating the transformation of ideas into business realities.

Student competitors discuss the ethical implications raised by a particular case and provide recommendations that are ethical, as well as being financially viable and legally compliant. Winners of the Undergraduate Competitive Division are invited to join the Isenberg Ethics Team and will be eligible to compete for Isenberg in external competitions.
Students graduate from our program equipped with conceptual and practical skills for leadership, entrepreneurial skills for new ventures, techniques for solving complex problems, and proficiencies for managing change—all of which are essential for organizational survival in the increasingly globalizing competitive environment.

The UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management’s Department of Finance announces the 2nd Annual Isenberg School of Management Finance Conference. The event will take place on Thursday/Friday, April 23rd-24th, 2026, and Wenxin Du the Sylvan C. Coleman Professor of Financial Management and Professor of Finance at Harvard Business School will deliver the keynote address.

Papers submitted to the conference will undergo a rigorous review process by the program committee, and authors of accepted papers will be notified by late February. To support your participation, the Finance Department will cover hotel and transportation costs for accepted presenters and discussants.

The Isenberg School of Management’s Graduate Women in Business \(GWIB\) recently launched Tech Fusion, a new initiative focused on expanding tech literacy and career readiness for graduate women.🦾
The program provided hands-on exposure to VR, robotics, and rapid prototyping. Tech Fusion provides graduate students an opportunity to explore the technological world, and prepares those entering tech-driven careers.
