Change your career trajectory by developing data manipulation, visualization, and analytical decision-making skills with the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA). The 10-course, 31-credit MSBA program can be completed at your own pace through our flexible online learning platform.
The Isenberg’s Online MSBA program offers the flexibility you need to fit your life, while learning from industry-leading expert faculty and receiving the same core curriculum as your on-campus counterparts. As an Online MSBA student, you can work at your own pace, taking as few as three credits (one course) or up to four years to complete your degree. And, if you start your degree online in the summer, you have the option of joining an on-campus cohort in Amherst or Newton in the fall.
MSBA students choose between two tracks—Business Foundations or Data Analytics—depending on career goals and prior business experience. Students can choose to further deepen their knowledge of data analytics by undertaking the optional concentration in Advanced Analytics. The MSBA program makes you a highly sought-after candidate for a career in any industry or organization.
The Isenberg Office of Career Success offers the career and professional development support you need for an analytics career. Work with a career coach and visit the IConnect portal for job postings, career events, and a suite of resources and tools in one central location to help you prepare for your career search.
Undergraduate students at UMass Amherst and other colleges in the Five College Consortium can pursue a 4+1 option, completing their undergraduate degree and their master's degree in 5 years.
The 4+1 option can also be accelerated, allowing students to complete both their undergraduate and master's degrees in fewer than 5 years. Isenberg's Master of Finance, Master of Science in Accounting, and Master of Science in Business Analytics all offer this accelerated option.
Interested students should apply to a master's degree program in their junior year or early in their senior year.
UMass Amherst accepts students from all 50 states into online programs and classes. The University of Massachusetts Amherst operates distance education classes and programs for out-of-state students under the terms and provisions of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). California does not participate in the Agreement but allows all public institutions to offer distance education to its residents.
