Student Experience

The Business Analytics Club is for students interested in or curious about the growing field of analytics, making business decisions through data. The club organizes opportunities to connect, network with alumni, participate in case competitions, and attend workshops to build their skills.  The club organizes speaker sessions and provides structured events to introduce analytics concepts as well as participates in projects and case competitions to apply classroom skills to real problems.

The Graduate Finance Club welcomes all graduate students with an interest in finance to become members. The Finance Club is committed to engaging in meaningful conversations with individuals and organizations through industry networking events and guest speaker series. In the club’s speaker series includes speakers covering a range of topics from investing to the role and importance of finance in business. The Finance Club is dedicated to understanding the future of finance in shaping and serving communities. The club also advocates for financial literacy, and also focuses on personal finance, investing, and cryptocurrency.

The Graduate Business Association (GBA) drives student-led initiatives supporting positive graduate student experiences for all MBA and MBA/MS candidates affiliated with the Isenberg School of Management. The association focuses on career enrichment, academic success, community connectedness, and wellbeing. GBA-sponsored activities include professional development workshops, networking, social events, outdoor activities, and more.

The Graduate Business Operations Club (Ops club) provides members with hands-on opportunities to learn about operations management. As a professional community, the Ops Club is dedicated to helping members build continuous improvement skills to succeed in industry. The Ops club hosts games and educational events, networks with speakers and alumni, and visits local businesses to deepen knowledge.

The Graduate Consulting Club is the gathering place for Isenberg graduate students interested in honing their skills in the consulting field. The club’s mission is to provide members with better clarity and insights into the industry as well as provide them with tools and experience to better prepare Isenberg graduates for productive consulting careers. The club hosts a variety of speakers and skill sessions, based on club members’ interests. The Consulting club also plans and engages in short-term consulting projects with area businesses aiming to gain experience and make a local impact. Throughout the year, the club additionally participates in and keeps the Isenberg community informed of case competitions and consulting-related networking opportunities.

Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) is a UMass Amherst group empowering women and allies in business. All Isenberg students are welcome to join. We provide opportunities to build a stronger community through networking, strengthening skills, and volunteering.

Net Impact (NI) is an international organization of leaders who use professional careers to tackle the world’s toughest problems, putting business skills to work for good throughout every sector. By doing so, NI aims to show the world that it’s possible to make a net impact that benefits not just the bottom line, but people and planet too.

NI organizes community volunteering opportunities and events such as guest speakers and discussion groups focused on sustainable business, impact investing, corporate social responsibility, and social enterprise.
