The Isenberg On-Campus MBA is ideal for individuals who seek a hands-on, real-world education in a rigorous 1.5-to-2-year program. The immersive residential program admits a small number of students which builds a close-knit community and makes individualized academic and career support possible.
Every On-Campus MBA student is awarded an Isenberg MBA Fellowship that fully funds their degree. In exchange for 10 hours of work per week over a 39-week academic year, MBA fellows receive full tuition support, an annual stipend, and health insurance.
MBA Fellows are not ordinary graduate assistants. In addition to financial support, the MBA Fellowship provides valuable hands-on experience and resume-building skills. Fellows work in marketing analytics, finance, diversity, equity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, project management, product management and more, taking on real business opportunities and strategic initiatives for Isenberg and across campus.
Students kick off their MBA program with a three-day Leadership Orientation Session, where they are put through their paces on presentation skills, resume writing, and team-building exercises so they start networking and career development from day one. Isenberg's Office of Career Success provides access to career coaches and IConnect, an online professional development platform.
Focus areas equip you with the knowledge and skills in a specific area of interest to propel you into the MBA-level job you desire upon graduation. Customize your education with an additional set of elective coursework to support a chosen career or industry, and still complete your degree in two years or less. Electives range from Project Management and Negotiation to Data Mining and Alternative Investments.
Many On-Campus MBA students receive job opportunities while pursuing their degree, and Isenberg fully supports an early career transition. Students can complete the majority of their coursework on campus in one year, and then transition to finish the program online – advancing career and education simultaneously. Ask a program specialist about our "off-ramping" option.
The Isenberg MBA is a UMass Flex program, a designation that enables flexible access to UMass Amherst.
Our On-Campus MBA program offers several MBA/MS dual degree options to consider. If you have a specialized area of interest or career goal in mind, a dual degree may be a great option for you. In partnership with the applicable departments, we currently offer MBA dual degrees in Sport Management, Business Analytics, Public Policy, and Engineering.
