Isenberg strives to be an accessible workplace of wellness that allows every faculty and staff member to thrive and feel accepted and appreciated. By promoting work-life balance and addressing mental and physical health through innovative programming, we show our commitment to supporting our community of employees in achieving their optimal well-being.

Fostering an inclusive, healthy community of employees is essential to Isenberg’s success. It creates a positive work culture in which employees feel appreciated and empowered—like they belong—and it also allows us to meet the needs of our students and our community.

Support Community Well-Being

Support Community Well-Being

As part of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which is a signatory to the Okanagan Charter, Isenberg advances a holistic vision of integrating physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being by focusing on four pillars: health and wellness for students, faculty, and staff; ecological sustainability; diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; and the effects of the built environment we create. A university community in which all members can feel connected requires programming, policies, and practices that foster inclusivity, well-being, accessibility, and sustainability.

Foster Community Well-Being

Support students, faculty, and staff with increased resources and opportunities that promote holistic well-being. Provide programming designed to help community members build physical, mental, and social wellness skills through educational workshops, guest speakers, wellness activities, mindfulness practices, arts-based programming, and affinity or employee resource groups. By creating accessible opportunities for connection, learning, and support, Isenberg can strengthen community resilience, foster a culture of belonging, and enhance the overall well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
