Kathy Zilch
Senior Lecturer
Kathy Zilch is a Senior Lecturer at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she teaches courses in business information systems, business analytics, power spreadsheets, advanced Excel, and VBA programming. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts, she holds a PhD in International Business. Since joining Isenberg in 2019, Zilch has received the Teaching with Digital Technology Award, served as a John F. Kennedy Teaching Fellow (2023–2025), and was selected as a Lilly Fellow for Teaching Excellence (2025–2026). Prior to entering academia, she worked on Wall Street, providing financial analysis for trading and investment banking operations. Her current research and teaching interests focus on spreadsheet automation, business applications of artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies that enhance productivity and decision-making.
