Careers in Finance

FINANCE

Careers in Finance is a course with two primary learning objectives: first, to expose students to a number of different career opportunities that are available to finance majors; second, to help students identify their strengths, interests and how best to present themselves to a prospective employer. Students will learn what types of jobs are available to finance majors and what are the responsibilities of people who hold these positions. The course provides students with an opportunity to meet with and ask questions of professionals in a variety of different fields. A tertiary objective of this course is to help first generation college students learn about career opportunities that they are often not exposed to until they get to college.
