HTM Scholarship Recipients

Four Isenberg hospitality and tourism management (HTM) students received scholarships from the New England Club Management Association (NECMA) Annual Meeting and Scholarship Dinner at the Wellesley Country Club in Wellesley, MA, on October 27. Kaitlyn Burgess ’27 was awarded the David Meador Scholarship, Brises Goldental ’27 and Kendall Famularo ’27 were both awarded the Rod Warnick Scholarship, and the first annual David Chag Scholarship was awarded to Russell Hutchinson ’26.

Each student had to complete a competitive essay, demonstrate outstanding experience in a seasonal or internship placement, provide references from a club management professional and a faculty member, and demonstrate academic excellence in their coursework. Burgess completed her internship at the Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton, MA, and Goldental completed her fourth summer seasonal position at the Concord Country Club in Concord, MA. Famularo, who is also the president of UMass Amherst’s CMAA student chapter, completed two internships—one during summer 2024 at the Country Club of Darien in Darien, CT, and a full food and beverage internship at the Wequasset Golf Club and Resort on Cape Cod over this past summer. Hutchinson completed his internship at the Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

In total, the students walked away with $20,000 of scholarship aid in recognition of their commitment, experience, and excellence in club management. The event, which 13 Isenberg students attended, included opportunities for a club tour, time to network with the Wellesley Country Club management team, the NECMA’s annual business meeting and reports, introduction of new board members, and an awards dinner. NECMA will also pay each student attendee’s registration fee for the 2026 World CMAA Conference, held in Anaheim, CA.
