We can support your plans to study abroad!

Did you know that we have Isenberg students in 14 different countries across the globe this fall? They’re studying in a diversity of locations, including Argentina, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Cyprus and more!

400+ Isenberg students study abroad each year. There are over 200 programs in 56 different countries to choose from!

As an Isenberg student, you are encouraged to study abroad.  ALL Isenberg majors can make it happen with proper planning!  And the best part?  It CAN be AFFORDABLE.  Choose from fall, winter, summer and spring programs around the world.  It’s never too early to start planning!

Here are some factors to consider when choosing a program (and UMass OGA can help!):

Where will you thrive?

How are you successful at UMass? What do you need to be successful abroad?

Your program might not be the same as what your friends want. Be open and curious about new locations!

Research locations to decide if this is a place where you can be healthy and happy:

  • Location: climate, lifestyle, dietary restrictions
  • Identity considerations: race and ethnicity, LGBTQIA, first-gen students, religion, etc.
  • City size, student life, independent travel, etc.

Also keep in mind:

  • Entry Requirements: Are you comfortable with a lengthy and sometimes stressful visa process, or do you prefer a location that does not require a visa or has easier entry requirements?
  • Budget: Research the total cost, including tuition, flights, living expenses, and potential scholarships.
  • Academic goals: Do you want to take courses towards your major or minor requirements?

Ready to learn more?  We’re here to help!  Here are a few ways to get the process started:

Student Organization Achievements

This October, MIEF (Minutemen International Equity Fund) represented UMass and the Isenberg School of Management at the Undergraduate Commodity Competition in Houston, TX.

They connected with talented students and professionals worldwide and presented their investment idea to a distinguished panel of judges from leading firms, including Citi, Mercuria, and Macquarie.

We’re proud to share that UMass placed in the top five out of 32 highly competitive teams and 122 participants!

For their first time pitching a commodity and first-ever UMass appearance at this competition, this is an incredible accomplishment. Congratulations to the entire MIEF team for making Isenberg proud!
