Sports Business Journal Special Insert Kicks Off McCormack 50th Anniversary

The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has kicked off its celebration of 50 years of sport management excellence with an 8-page special insert in the December 6 issue of Sports Business Journal.

The insert includes a brief history of the program, which launched in 1971, as well as an article on how the legacy of Mark H. McCormack continues to live on through a variety of department initiatives. The special section also shares some of the innovative research being undertaken by the department’s faculty, as well as examples of how several alumni are helping the department “fuel the next 50 years.”

The celebration continues on campus during the weekend of June 11 and 12, 2022, with the McCormack 50th Alumni Reunion weekend event. The weekend will include a golf tournament, campus tours, discussion panels, and more!
