As renewed tariff policies take center stage in the wake of President Donald Trump’s November 2024 reelection, Anna Nagurney, PhD—an internationally recognized expert in supply chain networks and professor in the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst—has emerged as a leading voice in national and regional media conversations.

Nagurney, who holds the Eugene M. Isenberg Chair in Integrative Studies in the Department of Operations and Information Management, has been quoted for her insights into the economic and consumer implications of the Trump Administration’s tariff proposals, some of which are on hold until July 9, 2025.
