Nomination Procedure

The HTM Annual Awards Program is an outstanding opportunity to showcase our exceptional alumni, but we need your help in identifying worthy nominees for the following: Distinguished Industry Leader Award, Stephen Elmont Alumni Award, and the Outstanding Young Alumni Awards.

The Distinguished Industry Leader Award is the most prestigious award conferred by the HTM Leadership Board.  It is presented to a recipient whose hospitality career evidences a distinguished level of achievement in the field that is of national or international distinction.   This award is not limited to alumni.

The Stephen Elmont Alumni Award and the two Outstanding Young Alumni Awards recognize outstanding accomplishment in the field and engagement in support of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management.  These awards are limited to alumni.

Additionally, there are occasions where there are two additional awards we recognize: Special Recognition and Lifetime Achievement. These awards are given to those who have tirelessly devoted themselves to the industry through entrepreneurship, dedication and innovation. In the case of the Lifetime Achievement Award, these qualities have led them to an achievement with lasting impacts on the industry.

With any questions please feel free to contact htm@isenberg.umass.edu.

Nominations are OPEN for the 2023-2023 Annual Awards Program and currently being accepted. Deadline for nominations is June 16, 2023.
