The spring 2022 semester is underway, and our students, faculty, and staff are all excited by the courses, club activities, and career development that we have planned. It’s great to have all our on-campus students here in Amherst again—between vaccinations, masks, and the university’s robust Covid-testing system, we feel safe and optimistic that this academic term will be a productive one.
We can’t wait to chat about what we’ve been up to and what’s on track for the next few months:
- Career news: We’ll have some statistics to share on the job and internship market, including placement numbers for the Class of 2021 and hiring trends for current students.
- Classroom innovation: Remote teaching during the first year of the pandemic gave our faculty members a crash course in some really useful and effective technological tools—now that we’ve been back in physical classrooms, our director of instructional technologies will tell us how faculty members are actively integrating those tools into their pedagogy to enhance communication and learning with students.
- Beyond the classroom: Student club activities keep Isenberg students engaged outside of their academic studies. Members of the Isenberg Undergraduate Consulting Group will share their plans for expanding their industry reach this year, and you’ll get to hear about how student organizations are providing leadership opportunities and direct industry experience for Isenberg students.
