In addition to our Masters in Business Administration, Isenberg offers four distinct specialized masters programs: an MS in Accounting, an MS in Business Analytics, an MS in Sport Management, and a Master of Finance. These programs are among the most respected in the country, attracting talented, diverse students and the most accomplished faculty. Graduates continue on to successful careers at leading companies or to PhD programs at top institutions.
Whether you are applying straight from an undergraduate program, switching your career focus, or seeking to deepen your knowledge of Asset Management, the Isenberg Master of Finance (MF) will provide you with the knowledge you need to thrive in the field of Asset Management and broaden your network of finance professionals. The one-year program, with 10 courses or 30 credits, is designed for those with some quantitative background in such subjects as calculus and statistics.
Isenberg’s MS in Accounting prepares you for the best jobs in accounting, in a way that fits your lifestyle. Working with internationally recognized faculty, you will learn to apply real-world solutions and practices through a progressive curriculum committed to team-based learning and hands-on problem solving. The knowledge you gain in the program will fulfill the educational requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts.
Enhance your career opportunities by developing your data manipulation, visualization, and modeling skills with the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA). The MSBA is offered as a 1-year program on-campus in Amherst or Newton, or complete the program at your own pace through our flexible online learning platform. Both on-campus options have achieved classification as a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program.
The Isenberg MS in Sport Management gives students the skills, credibility and well-connected network they need to rise to the top. Students will gain expertise in sport-related disciplines ranging from marketing, law, and finance, to applied sport market research and analytics. Our program also offers a unique Professional Development Seminar in which industry practitioners enlighten students on a broad range of career advice and opportunities.
Undergraduate students at UMass Amherst and other colleges in the Five College Consortium can pursue a 4+1 option, completing their undergraduate degree and their master's degree in 5 years.
The 4+1 option can also be accelerated, allowing students to complete both their undergraduate and master's degrees in fewer than 5 years. Isenberg's Master of Finance, Master of Science in Accounting, and Master of Science in Business Analytics all offer this accelerated option.
Interested students should apply to a master's degree program in their junior year or early in their senior year.
Whether you’re looking to refresh your career in a new position or elevate your skills to advance in your current role, Isenberg’s graduate programs provide a life-changing opportunity to reshape your career exactly how you envision it. The breadth and depth of our programs is unparalleled and immerses anyone from any educational or career background in the business fundamentals needed to excel.
