In keeping with the philosophies of Mark H. McCormack, the McCormack Initiatives include the Executive-in-Residence program, a unique way of teaching sport business through a first-person lens, promoting innovation in sport marketing and management.

With each initiative, the McCormack Department of Sport Management aims to further the legacy of its namesake by continuing to promote the development of innovative models and new educational formats. High-profile sports industry leaders visit campus during the Executive-in-Residence program and share insights into their careers, management philosophies, and the sport industry as a whole, giving students a window into the challenges and rewards of the business of sport management directly from the leaders who have helped shape it.
