Stavros Siokos

Dr. Stavros Siokos '93MS, '98PhD is Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Investment Committee Member at Astarte Capital Partners, an asset manager he co-founded in 2015 to invest in sustainable real assets and natural capital worldwide. Astarte manages institutional capital from 45 countries across five continents and has been recognized by several organizations as one of the world’s most impactful natural-capital investment managers, delivering significant social and environmental benefits alongside strong financial returns.
Dr. Siokos has 30 years of experience across capital markets, asset management and alternative investments. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Citigroup, serving as Global Head of Alternative Strategies and Pension Fund Solutions, having begun his non-academic career at Salomon Brothers in the mid1990s.
He is the author of several books and academic papers and regularly speaks at conferences and industry events worldwide. Dr. Siokos holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras in Greece, as well as an MSc and a PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
