Minutemen Alternative Investment Club

MAIF is a student-run hedge fund that runs a Long/Short and Derivatives strategy. MAIF's primary Equity Long/Short strategy, utilizes and array of research approaches and data sources when determining what securities and vehicles to invest in. Our Derivatives and Pairs strategies remain important secondary strategies, focusing on areas such as futures, foreign exchange, and options vehicles. We believe it is important for our members to understand core research methods while embracing different perspectives. Our new members are automatically enrolled in a curriculum run by senior members in order to develop consistent core research methods such as comp tables, DCF analysis, Porter's five forces, technical analysis, and other fundamental research methods. After spending a semester in the Long/Short strategy members will have the option to join the Derivatives group.
