Carlos D. Valladares
Lecturer
Carlos D. Valladares is a Lecturer in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship from Iowa State University and an MBA from Syracuse University. His research examines individual-level entrepreneurship, with a focus on nonconformity, bricolage, and entrepreneurial action. His work has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing Insights and the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and presented at the Academy of Management and Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conferences. He teaches strategic management and entrepreneurship and has received the Teaching Excellence Award from Iowa State University and the Teaching with Digital Technology Award from UMass Amherst. He holds recent certifications in teaching with cases and AI from Harvard Business School, and on Design Thinking and Prototyping with AI from IDEO.
