Professor Albert George Assaf is a professor at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to tourism, hospitality, and quantitative research methods. His expertise spans tourism and hospitality management, productivity and efficiency analysis, business performance, tourism economics, and quantitative research methods. Professor Assaf's current research examines the application of artificial intelligence in tourism and hospitality, restaurant performance, consumer behavior, and the use of advanced econometric and efficiency modeling techniques to support managerial decision-making. His research provides practical insights for businesses, governments, and destination management organizations by improving organizational performance, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and advancing sustainable and competitive tourism development. Professor Assaf has published extensively in leading international journals. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Economics and holds editorial positions on several prestigious journals, contributing to the advancement of research and scholarly standards in the field.
