In addition to its top global ranking in the “Professors’ Choice” category, the McCormack graduate program, which includes both its MBA/MS and MS in Sport Management degree programs, was also ranked number one in the “Graduates’ Choice” category and number two overall in the world.
“We are obviously disappointed to lose our ranking as the top-ranked overall program in the world,” said Graduate Program Director Steve McKelvey, referring to McCormack’s number one overall standing in the 2019 rankings. “However, what is equally rewarding and impressive is that our peers – those professors and administrators of graduate sport management programs across the globe – have for the fourth time in five years identified our program as the best.”
McKelvey attributes the McCormack graduate program’s consistently strong showing to both its exceptional faculty and its unparalleled alumni network. Additionally, annual initiatives like the Graduate Mentor Program (in which every graduate student is provided a year-long industry mentor), frequent professional development trips, and a plethora of hands-on experiential learning–based projects with industry clients help ensure a positive response from the students who participate in SportBusiness’s annual survey.
