“As a business professional, I plan to make a difference,” remarks dual marketing and journalism major Stephanie Berenson ’16. “My goal,” she adds, “is to be happy doing something that I enjoy.” That looks like a sure bet considering Stephanie’s wide-ranging interests and skill set. Working with Isenberg professors both inside and outside the classroom, she says, has brought insights in the areas of teamwork, marketing research, analytical reasoning, and consumer behavior.

Last summer, Stephanie interned with Vistaprint’s HR and recruiting team. “I focused on the ‘employee brand’ by managing @Vistaprintjobs Twitter and generating original written and visual content for the web site, Life in Vistaprint.com,” she recalls. Using Google Analytics, she analyzed metrics targeting her employer’s job postings, social media, and website initiatives. Following her 10-week internship, the company asked her to continue her work remotely during the fall semester.

Stephanie is co-president of Isenberg’s Marketing Club, which brings its 200 student members a wealth of networking opportunities and advice from marketing professionals. She blogs for Isenberg’s Chase Career Center, offering professional development advice. And as a photographer, she contributes to Isenberg and Commonwealth Honors College’s marketing initiatives.

Stephanie’s passion for photography is evident in her own freelance business, which includes videography and multimedia projects as well. “Whether my career path leads me in that entrepreneurial direction or as a marketing and social media expert,” she says, “I am thankful to Isenberg. It’s given me opportunities to explore all of those possibilities.”
