Ellen Welter, who is from Lynnfield, Mass., recently accepted a short-term position as a digital platform consultant for Rachel's Table, a food redistribution center in Springfield. The grant-funded position was a result of her honors thesis case study focused on the organization. Starting in July, she will be starting full-time as a technology risk consultant in EY's Boston office.

What clubs or organizations have you been most involved with?

I served as the President of the Operations & Information Management Club this year. I also worked for Isenberg as an OIM 297S TA and a Peer Tutor in the Business Communications Center.

What was your favorite class at Isenberg?

I have two favorite classes at Isenberg: OIM 297S Power Spreadsheets with Professor Kathy Zilch and OIM 420 High Performance Organizations with Professor Michele Burch. Both excellent professors and valuable course content!

What would you say was your best experience in college?

My best college experiences were day hikes and lawn games turned late night fire pits with friends.

What piece of advice would you offer to an incoming first-year Isenberg student in your department?

For an incoming first-year OIM student, I recommend bulking up on classes early so you can take a light course load junior and senior year and leave room for valuable experiences and spontaneous outings when living off-campus!
