Three Isenberg professors and a professor at UMass Amherst's College of Engineering have organized the workshop "Cybersecurity Risk Analysis for Enterprise Security" on September 19th at MIT's Sloan School of Management. The four professors--Anna  Nagurney and Senay Solak from Isenberg's Operations & Information Management department, Mila Getmansky Sherman from Isenberg's Finance department, and Wayne Burleson from the College of Engineering--are supporting the conference with proceeds from a $40,000 grant from the Advanced Cyber Security Center, a nonprofit  consortium based in Bedford.

At the workshop, Professor Nagurney will give the presentation, "Network Science and Economics." Professor Sherman will present "Systematic Risk" and moderate a panel devoted to risk. Professor Solak will discuss "Cybersecurity Investment Optimization with Risk: Insights for Resource Allocation." He and professor Nagurney will moderate the panel discussion, "Modeling and Optimization: How to Make Better Decisions for Cybersecurity."

Panelists at the day-long event represent MIT, Biogen Idec, the U.S. Office of Financial Research, Liberty Mutual, the UMass President's Office, State Street, MITRE, and the U.S. Federal Reserve.
