Kudos to Kim Figueroa (Chase Career Center), Debbie Puchalski (Accounting & Marketing), and Carol Szymkowicz (Sport Management and general administration)--this year's recipients of Isenberg's Outstanding Staff Awards.  Nominated by their fellow employees and chosen by a faculty-staff committee, the honorees received their awards at Isenberg's annual end-of-the-year faculty-staff gathering (a.k.a. the Reindeer Seminar) on December 9th.

"Whether you are her colleague, an Isenberg alum, student, staff member, industry recruiter, parent, or stranger, Kim Figueroa provides you with excellent customer service," noted Chase Career Center executive director Nic Wegman in his nomination. As the Chase Center's director of internships, Kim is both a great ambassador for Isenberg and an outstanding staff member, he emphasized.

"Debbie Puchalski is everything that one could hope for in an administrative support person," wrote former accounting department chair Jim Smith in his nomination. "Debbie has been a remarkably positive force in the accounting department and the school. I can't imagine anyone more richly deserving of such an award."

"Carol Szymkowicz is a joy to be around and makes our workplace a better environment for everyone," observed sport management professor Mark McDonald. "She exhibits a level of service that is unique within this organization," added Isenberg's director of administration & finance Diane Keedy, citing Carol's "critical temporary assignments" with the dean's office and the graduate and undergraduate programs offices.

This year's honorees excelled among a broad pool of worthy nominees, all dedicated, abundantly talented Isenberg staff members.
