A new scholarship fund has been established in honor of the late MaryBeth Kimball, who served as Isenberg School of Management’s director of new business development and administration for more than 20 years. Kimball, who passed away in July 2025, also served as advisor to hundreds of students in Isenberg’s Online MBA program.

The MaryBeth Kimball Scholarship will be an endowed fund supporting online MBA students who demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship will provide lasting support to students who embody Kimball’s values—determination, excellence, and a drive to grow both personally and professionally.

“MaryBeth was a cherished member of the Graduate Programs team, joining Isenberg in 2002 and dedicating over two decades to the growth and success of our online MBA program,” said Isenberg Dean Anne Massey. “Her warmth, dedication, and tireless advocacy for students left an indelible mark on our community.”

"It is no exaggeration to say that MaryBeth cared deeply for her advisees, guiding them over many years and often forming lasting friendships,” said Nikunj Kapadia, associate dean of Isenberg Graduate Programs. “Through her dedication and compassion, she set a standard of excellence that continues to inspire.”

Albert Assaf, faculty director of the Online MBA and professor and Hadelman Family Faculty Fellow in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, noted Kimball’s dedication to students over the years.

“MaryBeth’s unwavering commitment to the Online MBA community transformed the student experience,” he said. “Her mentorship, insights, and genuine care empowered generations of graduates to pursue excellence and leadership in business with confidence and compassion.”

Brigadier General (Ret.) Robert Enzenauer, MD, MPH, MBA’08, was one of Kimball’s many student advisees. He pursued his Online MBA at Isenberg while serving numerous deployments as a battalion surgeon and flight surgeon in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“I enrolled at Isenberg, with the excellent guidance of MaryBeth, mainly because I could participate asynchronously and totally online,” he said. “MaryBeth was a great help in organizing my course load, especially when I was deployed.”
