Congratulations to Isenberg students Michael Famiglietti ’19 and Paige Kozlowski ’19 for earning Fall 2018 UMass Scholar-Athlete honors.
Mike, an accounting major and a captain of the varsity Division 1 cross country and track and field teams, finished 16th at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships—the top performer among Minutemen. At the A-10 Championships, he led UMass to a sixth-place finish. In that competition, he finished 13th overall, securing an Atlantic 10 All-Conference honor. A five-time A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient, Mike has also achieved Dean’s List status four times. Last summer, he was a tax intern in EY’s Boston office. After graduation, he will pursue an MS degree in accounting.
A dual major in Sport Management and Operations and Information Management, Paige was the starting defensive midfielder for a UMass varsity women’s soccer squad that posted its best record since 2011. In 2018, she started 16 of 17 matches, scoring a goal and adding an assist. She also enhanced a UMass defense that posted eight shutouts and ranked second in the Atlantic 10 in goals allowed—the lowest mark by a Minutewoman squad since 1996. Off the field, Paige made her mark on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and the Special Olympics Big Event Committee. A Dean's List and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient, she excelled as an operations intern with the Philadelphia Union Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
Kudos again to Mike and Paige!
