International Student Success Series Culture & Etiquette Night

Share your culture with 1st year Isenberg students participating in the Global Fellows Seminar.  In small groups, you'll share your experiences from the US and abroad, as well as answer questions about your country and your culture.  For example, how do people greet one another?  (i.e. with a handshake? bow? kiss on the cheek?) How do personal or business interactions in the US differ from your home country?  What are some benefits and challenges you've experienced here?  What are some typical meals, and what is the proper etiquette when dining with friends or colleagues?  These are just a few examples of topics that might come up.  No preparation is necessary-simply come ready to talk a little bit about your culture and make new friends! For more information contact Susan Carey: scarey@isenberg.umass.edu
