During this two-week program, students immerse themselves in key segments and critical issues relevant to the highly competitive sports and entertainment industry, such as:

The McCormack Department challenges students to use a management lens to strategic decision making in sports, offering a diverse and highly interactive approach to learning. In-class lectures and case competitions will be augmented by the presence of UMass alumni in sport leadership positions, and ‘virtual’ Zoom visits to regional sport businesses.
The Academy will run virtually, on Zoom, in accordance with campus health and safety policy. Normally, and returning for Summer 2022, students get to experience a sense of college life on one of the nation’s premier campuses, with housing & social events in the University’s modernized Commonwealth Honors College and meals at UMass Dining Commons (ranked #1 nationally, four years in a row, by The Princeton Review).
