About the Center

Mission

The Berthiaume Center for Entrepreneurship is central to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation across the UMass Amherst campus throughout the region and state.

Headquartered in the Isenberg School of Management, the Center is the hub of a cross-campus network of scholars, innovators, and entrepreneurs, with a three-fold mission of supporting research, education, and practice, all targeted at facilitating the transformation of ideas into business realities as we assist innovators on their entrepreneurial journey.

Vision

Our vision is to build one of the nation’s most vibrant university entrepreneurship ecosystems — empowering students, faculty, and partners to turn ideas into impact. As we strengthen innovation across disciplines, the Berthiaume Center will help elevate UMass Amherst to top-tier national recognition in entrepreneurship education and practice.

In 2014, the Berthiaume Center for Entrepreneurship was established thanks to the generous financial support of Diana and Doug Berthiaume.
