Pathways in Education Weeks of Welcome & Fall Events : Isenberg School of Management : UMass Amherst

The Office of Access, Collaboration, and Engagement for Success (ACES) hosts its annual Weeks of Welcome for Pathways in Education students.

Weeks of Welcome features various activities, tabling events, community meetings, and scheduled training/workshops throughout each week so Pathways in Education students can find their community of advocates and peers throughout their time at Isenberg.

8/26/2025 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.	TBD	UMass Amherst/Isenberg School of Management Scavenger Hunt	Sponsored by the Office of ACES, solve the clues and find your way around the Isenberg School of Management and throughout campus using provided hints. Include your answers and pictures on ISucceed for badge earning and to be entered in a prize drawing at the Office of ACES on September 8th. To receive credit, you must submit your completed map through ISucceed.
8/26/2025 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.	Office of Career Success	Isenberg Professional Headshot	The Iris Photo Booth is a feature of the Office of Career Success that lets you have a professional picture taken by you! The booth is a fully automated system that provides you with ample lighting, a high quality camera, and even suggestions for how to pose. Once you take your pictures, you will receive a link in your e-mail that lets you edit them to suit your professional needs. Submit your photo for proof of completion through ISucceed for credit. 8/26/2025 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.	Office of Career Success	Isenberg VR Interviewing Session	The Office of ACES, in collaboration with the Train team and VirtualSpeech, offers PiE students the opportunity to utilize Virtual Reality (VR) for interview training. To receive credit, scan a QR Code onsite for PiE credit.
8/26/2025 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.	Wheeler Hall Parking Lot	Axe Throwing Session	PiE students can join in for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration. Join the ACES team for axe throwing, great snacks and beverages, and even better company as we connect, unwind, and celebrate the newest cohort members of our school community, the Class of 2029! Come test your aim, mingle with other cohort members.
8/26/2025 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.	Wheeler Hall	Salsa Dancing Class	Join the ACES Team for a sponsored Salsa dance class, in partnership to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month. The salsa class will be led by Raphaela Moreno, our Program Coordinator, Graduate Programs, for the Office of ACES.

9/4/2025 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.	Basketball Hall of Fame	Halls of Hope: Youth Development Immersive Experience	This inaugural event during Enshrinement Week, the organization will bring over 150 high school student-athletes from underserved communities to the Hall of Fame for a unique learning experience. Through engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and on court basketball skills development, students will delve into AI technology, teamwork, and collaboration, all inspired by the world of basketball. Day 2 will feature a career fair with 30 local businesses, student project presentations, financial literacy workshops, and a Hall of Fame tour. Professional Basketball Legends will be attending throughout the course of the event. To receive credit, you must post two photos of the event participation.
