There are now Apple TVs in several of the classrooms in the Isenberg building.  This technology will be useful to those professors who would like to be untethered from the computer workstation and free to move about the room during class.  With the Apple TV, you are able to mirror whatever is on your iPhone or iPad onto the screen, whether it’s a PowerPoint presentation, a website, a YouTube video, etc.

Here are some ways you can use the Apple TV in the classroom:

  • Walk the room while still remaining connected
  • Advance PowerPoint Slides via the iPad
  • Play YouTube videos
  • Annotate documents live with your students
  • Show websites
  • Display pictures of student/teacher work

If you would like a tutorial on how to use the Apple TVs, contact Alice Vlasenko at avlasenko@isenberg.umass.edu to set up an appointment.  Apple TVs will be in all first floor Isenberg classrooms, except room 133, by the end of the summer.
