I know that the news about our campus transitioning to remote course delivery may be causing uncertainty and stress for you, but please be aware that we are working hard to make the process as smooth and seamless as possible.

Our top priority is keeping everyone in our community safe, but we also care deeply about your education, and we know that you do too. We're working closely with university officials throughout this time, and we want to be transparent and helpful throughout the process.

Faculty members are communicating with students directly regarding how they will run classes remotely. If you have concerns about being able to access online resources from off campus, please reach out to them. Both Isenberg and the university are providing resources to help our faculty and students during this transition.

Isenberg is also working diligently to make sure that all our programs are available to you remotely. For example, the Undergraduate Programs Office has instituted a remote advising program — you should be watching for emails from the advising team about how that process will unfold.

Please keep checking the "UMass Amherst Response to the Coronavirus" page here for university updates and details. If you have specific concerns about your ability to access resources for remote learning, please send an email to dean.massey@isenberg.umass.edu. We’re committed to ensuring that you feel supported during this transitional time.

In the meantime, I know you've heard this a million times already, but I urge you to keep yourself safe: wash your hands, avoid crowds, and stay home as much as you're able to. This situation is temporary, and we'll get through it with ingenuity, flexibility, and patience.

Be well,
Anne Massey
