Dear Isenberg Community,
I'm so happy to share with you the names of the faculty and staff members who we're recognizing for making especially notable contributions to the school over the past year through their teaching, research, and leadership. It's been a wonderful year for Isenberg, and it would not be possible without the contributions of these community members.
I also want to thank everyone who took the time to nominate and vote for our faculty and staff this year, with a special thanks to the members of the award selection committees. Please join me in congratulating this year's winners!
Best wishes,
Dean Massey
These faculty members are recognized for the efficacy and creativity of their instruction, as well as the impact they have on students, their mastery of their subject and scholarship, and their engagement in activities that improve teaching.
Charles Macaulay, Sport Management (tenure track)
A student said, “Professor Macaulay did a great job of creating a classroom environment that stimulated debate and learning. Our case studies were really useful tools to apply what we learned in the readings, and the class debates/participation allowed us to hear other perspectives on the cases and material. The PWHL final cultural assessment was also an amazing opportunity to put into practice what we learned, and I am grateful for Professor Macaulay for facilitating that experience.”
Brett Albert, Sport Management (non-tenure track)
A student shared, “Professor Albert is perhaps the best professor I've ever had. His charisma and candor are perfect for keeping skeptical, cynical grad students engaged. I greatly appreciate Professor Albert's enthusiasm, love, and commitment to the subject. You would've thought he'd been teaching the course for ten years.”
Thank you to the selection committee: Pam Trafford (chair), Joanna Czarnecki, Sydney Daniels, Alicia Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Bing Liang, Atul Sheel, Zach Sheffler, Katie Sosnowski, Pankaj Toppo, and David Tyler.
