The Isenberg Virtual Public Accounting Career Fair will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 14th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. via the Handshake career fair platform.
Which employers will participate in this event?
A broad variety of public accounting firms – including Big 4, national, and regional firms – will be represented at this event. NOTE: Big 4 firms will NOT participate in Isenberg Virtual Career Day on Sept. 29th, so this will be your chance to speak 1:1 with these firm representatives!
Which students should participate in this event?
All students interested in exploring full-time or internship opportunities – tax, audit, or advisory – are invited to participate in this event by signing up for 1:1 meetings with firm representatives. This includes all Accounting majors, MSAs and MSBAs, as well as OIM, Finance, and other majors aiming for advisory roles.
When can students begin signing up for 1:1 appointments with recruiters?
Students may begin signing up for 10-minute appointments with firm representatives in Handshake on Tuesday, Sept. 7th at 5:00 p.m. Click here to view Handshake’s guide for Signing Up for and Managing Virtual Fair Sessions.
How do I prepare for the fair? What are best practices for students?
- Research firms prior to the fair by reviewing the participant list and clicking on “view details” for each firm.
- Be prepared that each appointment will last only 10 minutes – this appointment is not an interview, but rather a conversation that might help an employer decide if they would like to invite you for an interview in the future.
- Be ready to impress firm representatives with your resume, elevator pitch, and company research.
- Find a quiet, professional space in which to conduct your meetings without distractions.
- Test your video link the day before the event.
- Dress and communicate as professionally as you would for an in-person fair.
