The Graduate Programs Office has joined forces with our student organizations to create a fun filled evening of networking, healthy competition and community bonding. A masters degree from Isenberg means more than just the courses you complete. Round out your degree by mingling in the atrium and taking part in a fun, competitive consulting activity called Slide Roulette. All graduate students are welcome to attend and/or compete!
What is Slide Roulette?
- 12 people will be given 4, 30 second slides at random (2 minutes total)
- Each person will give a 2 minute pitch that relates to the slides as best they can without knowing what the slides will be beforehand (hint: the slides could be anything... a graph, a table, a picture of a sloth eating ice cream...)
- Our esteemed panel of judges will choose a winner based on group consensus
Why should you participate?
- PRIZES!
- You get to practice your public speaking - each of the judges will give you constructive criticism if you would like!
- It's fun! (Read this article if you still aren't convinced, but be warned our rules are a bit different)
Agenda:
5:30-7:00: Check-in, dinner & networking
7:00-8:00: Slide Roulette Competition
8:15-9:00: Winner announcements / open networking
RSVP prior to November 4th to receive 1 free drink ticket! Sign ups for Slide Roulette will be open until November 8th. 12 people will be chosen at random to participate and will be notified prior to the event.
