MS in Accounting Enrollment Information

Enrollment Begins on Monday, March 18, at 9:00am EST 

 Steps for Enrolling in Summer 2024 Courses  

1. Make sure all holds are cleared. If you have a hold on your record/account in SPIRE, this could prevent registration. To view a hold, log into SPIRE, look on the right side of the screen on your Student Services Center page under "Holds." 

2. New Students: You must accept the Financial Responsibility Agreement before enrolling in classes. Please log into SPIRE to accept the agreement. You can find more information on the Bursar’s Office FAQs page. 

3. Visit our Browse Courses page to view course descriptions and select your courses. Then register in SPIRE. 

4. If you need more help, join the MSA advisors for a registration session. Register here. You may also find this enrollment video helpful. 

Important Dates 

May 14 – Preview week opens in Canvas 

May 21 – classes begin 

May 28  – Last day to Drop with 100% tuition refund for 10 week classes (for 604A, 604B, 610, 601, and 656 see SPIRE for add/drop date) 

July 1 – Last day to late Drop through advisor with 50% tuition refund for 10 week classes (for 604A, 604B, 610, 601, and 656 see SPIRE for add/drop date) 

July 3 – 6 week classes end (SCH-MGMT 610, 601, and 656) 

July 30 – 10 week classes ends (most MSA classes) 

August 13 – 12 week classes end (SCH-MGMT 604A, 604B) 

August 22  – Grades appear on transcripts 

Mandatory Graduation Requirement 

If you are taking your last class in Summer 2024, your degree eligibility form must be emailed to your advisor by August 1, 2024 or sooner to be included in graduation. Please list all classes in the order taken along with grades (leave grades blank for classes in progress). Be sure that you receive a confirmation receipt from your advisor. 

Helpful Reminders and Notes 

• Interested in completing a focus in forensic accounting, data analytics, or taxation? Talk with your advisor. Completing a focus is optional but can enhance your skill set and set you apart. 

• Extended Payment Plan Contracts. Find the documents here. 

Winter 2024 enrollment opens on October 11 beginning at 9am Eastern Time.

Important note:  "UWW" courses are now listed as "Univ+" in Spire

Important Semester Dates to Note for Winter 2024 

October 11 - Enrollment begins 

December 11 - Preview week for courses begins 

December 18 – First day of winter classes 

December 22 - Last day to Drop with 100% tuition refund (class fees only) for matriculated students 

January 12 - Last day to late Drop through advisor and instructor with 50% tuition refund (class fees only) 

January 2 - Deadline to submit Degree Eligibility Form to advisor for those students graduating February 1, 2024 

January 31 - Last day of classes 

February 6 - Grades appear on transcripts
