The recognition goes to researchers whose citation records put them in the top one percent by citations for their field and year, and identifies researchers who demonstrate significant influence in their chosen field through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the past decade.

Uysal, who joined Isenberg in 2016, focuses on tourism development and quality-of-life research in tourism and hospitality settings. He received his PhD from Texas A&M University, an MBA from the University of New Haven, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey.
