TSS offers remote access virtual computer labs to Faculty, Staff, and students. In addition, Faculty, Staff & PhD's may access our statistical workstations, which are server-based systems that have large amounts of CPU and Memory resources.

​How to connect:

  1. Using the HTML interface (supported):
  2. Using the VMware Horizon Client (unsupported):
    • Install the Horizon View Client (link here) on your personal computer.
    • The name of the server you're connecting to is: desktop.isenberg.umass.edu.

Faculty/Staff

How to log in:

  • You may follow the student instructions, above, to access the systems via a web-browser
  • Using your managed PC, you can launch the "VMware Horizon Client" found on your Start Menu.  This is preconfigured to connect.
  • You can install the Horizon View Client (link here) on your personal computer.  This is not supported by TSS.
    • You will need to be connected to the UMass/Isenberg VPN, otherwise, you'll get a blank screen when trying to connect.
    • The name of the server you're connecting to is: desktop.isenberg.umass.edu.
