What advice would you give to a prospective student considering a graduate degree at Isenberg?
Preparation is key to getting into the Isenberg program you really want to get into! Start putting together your best materials and talk with your mentors to build a strong application as early as possible.
Courtney Chase, '19
What do you think are the key factors in gaining the most from your time in the program?
I think the key factor in gaining the most from my time in this program is connecting with as many people as possible from my classmates, to the faculty, to alumni of the program. This will allow me to gain new perspectives on the sport management industry, as well as learn more about the segment I am interested in.
William Fallon, '19
What influenced your decision to join this program?
The vast alumni network, great reputation, and excellent job placement rate all played a roll in my decision to join this program - but what really put me over the edge was the grad mentor program! No other sports program I've heard of has anything like it. The opportunity to be fostered by an alum, who knows how to use an Isenberg degree to conquer the sports industry, was too much to pass up.
Connor Griffin, '19

Taking advantage of all the resources provided by Isenberg, but especially: connecting with the strong alumni network; learning from excellent peers; and interacting with the competitive and well-recognized faculty.
Zoe Ochoa, '19

I am honored to be a part of the Isenberg School of Management. The incredibly supportive staff, in addition to the strong alumni connection, equally influenced my decision to join the Isenberg team. The program's outstanding reputation is a true testament of the commitment from both the students and the staff.

I chose the McCormack Department of Sport Management for a variety of reasons. First, the rigorous curriculum and high standards set by the University provide me with the necessary skillset to excel in the industry. Second, having the largest and most experienced sport management faculty in the country who can offer me diverse viewpoints and challenge me to grow and enable me to achieve my academic potential. Third, this program has a vast alumni network that has already expanded my network and given me new knowledge of the various opportunities within the sport industry.

Dual Degree, MBA/MS Sport Management
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering a graduate program at Isenberg?
I believe the MBA/Sport Management dual degree program is great for people who want to work within the sport industry, but haven't quite figured out what position they can see themselves in. The Professional Seminar class, taught in the first semester, provides a fantastic insight to the various career paths in the sports industry.
Daniel Crago, '20
Dual Degree, /MBA/MS Sport Management
What do you think are the key factors in gaining the most from your time in the program?
In just the short time that I've been here one recurring theme has been prevalent: "You'll get out of the program what you put in."
Participating in social events, being proactive with your free time and attending conferences, and working hard in class are all factors to gaining the most from the program. Connecting with your peers, connecting with your faculty, and connecting with the alumni are also integral parts to becoming successful in and after the program.
Jaime Ferguson, '20
Dual Degree, MBA/MS Sport Management
What influenced your decision to join this program?
Earning two different, but complementary, Masters degrees at the same time was an attractive option for me. I saw the value in the comprehensiveness of an MBA, with the added specificity of a Masters in Sport Management.
Jessica Hamby, '20
Dual Degree, MBA/MS Sport Management
What influenced your decision to join this program?
I really wanted to get both degrees. I knew that even if I only received the MS in Sport Management, I would eventually go back to school to also get the MBA. UMass Amherst provided the best solution to my needs.

What influenced your decision to join this program?
Isenberg's reputation was my number one reason for choosing this program. Because I plan on working in technical operations in professional soccer, I know I'll learn industry standards and make valuable connections along the way.
Lauren Yung, '20

What do you think are the key factors in gaining the most from your time in the program?
I think the most important factor is being present. With the cohort approach, there are people with numerous backgrounds that I can really learn from. I am looking forward to making those connections and growing them while at Isenberg and beyond.
