With support from the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Audit Quality, accounting professor Elaine Wang and Ph.D. candidate Aaron Saiewitz are comparing how American and Chinese auditors account for various types of errors embedded in different ways in an auditing case study. Isenberg operations and information management professor Anna Nagurney's lecture at the annual INFORMS national meetings in October explored the network economics of cybercrime and its applications to financial services organizations. The lecture was based on a project with team members Nagurney, Isenberg professors Mila Getmansky Sherman (finance) and Senay Solak (operations and information management), and other UMass Amherst researchers. Isenberg's Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management has received the gift of a beverage management inventory system valued at $6,500 from AccuBar Beverage Management Systems.
