ALPFA UMass Amherst’s First Annual Conference
10:30am - 5:30pm EST Virtual
ALPFA UMass Amherst’s First Annual Conference - Advancing Latinx Student Leaders - is a one-day virtual event reinforcing Latinx students across UMass Amherst’s schools and colleges to build a new wave of rising prosperity and confidence within the Latinx community.
The BIPOC community at large face numerous disparities across multiple sectors and have been directly subject to the vile effects of COVID-19 and racism. As the world transforms into a new normal, it is imperative that we facilitate supportive communities where both personal and academic resources and opportunities become more accessible.
At ALPFA, our mission is to empower and develop Latinxs as leaders of character in every sector of the global economy. At a student chapter level, we aim to carry out the same mission and build a strong community for fellow Latinx students to thrive in. In this conference, attendees will be exposed to the growing ALPFamilia and the power of our national network.
