At Isenberg we put a strong emphasis on challenging, hands-on "in-the-trenches" learning. Many of our students apply their classroom studies by consulting within for-profit or not-for-profit organizations, or participating in case competitions.
In September, Cynthia Barstow, Isenberg marketing lecturer and founder of the campus group Protect Our Breasts, took a group of PoB students to the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore where she spoke to retailers about the dangers of chemicals in our every day products.
"I speak for the three of us on my student team when I say that this project was by far the most challenging and most rewarding experience of our undergraduate careers," emphasized Isenberg senior Nicholas Munro. The Isenberg marketing major was reflecting on Professor Charles Schewe's honors course, Tools for Professional Success in Marketing, which assigns student consulting teams to strategic marketing challenges on behalf of corporate clients.
