The Isenberg Business Leadership Awards (IBLA) is the school’s signature event, taking place each June at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston. The IBLA honors two outstanding alumni for their success in business, service to the community, and contributions to future business leaders through their engagement with the Isenberg School and UMass Amherst campus. These individuals are recognized by his or her peers for the pursuit of excellence in their field, uncompromising ethical standards and demonstrated critical leadership skills in guiding their organization.
Along with honoring distinguished business leaders, the IBLA also achieves two important objectives: to raise Isenberg’s profile in the Boston business community and to provide networking opportunities which bring alumni, students, faculty and industry together. Each year, we have hosted more than 300 people from a diverse set of industries, including finance, accounting, operations & information management and hospitality. Isenberg typically honors a principal honoree and a recent alumni awardee.
