Virtual Interviews
Access IsenbergWorks and Handshake to Apply
UMass/Isenberg will not host any on-campus interviews during the 2020-2021 academic year - all interviews will take place virtually.
Students are encouraged to regularly access both IsenbergWorks AND Handshake to apply for jobs, internships, and virtual interviews.
Interview processes and virtual connection instructions will vary by firm, so be sure to monitor your email for specific details. For example, in some cases, the employer will schedule the interview slots on their end, while in others, Chase will handle interview scheduling via IsenbergWorks. However, in every case, the employer will make virtual connection arrangements on their end and communicate those arrangements to interview candidates.
Also note that UMass Career Services and the Chase Career Center are encouraging employers to utilize technological and phone methods to interview job candidates in place of in-person office interviews until Covid19 safety precautions are lifted. This recommendation is in accordance with The UMass Amherst Community Safety Agreement for Students, which supports limiting off-campus travel as much as possible.
Please contact Melissa Salva, Director of Employer Engagement, with any questions about the interview process.
Employer-Sponsored Virtual Recruiting Events
Information Sessions, Employer Panels, Workshops, etc.
The Chase Career Center will advertise all employer-sponsored virtual events as follows:
- In “This Week at Chase” emails sent to all Isenberg students on Sunday evenings
- In IsenbergWorks – access the “Career Fairs, Info Sessions & Workshops” tab on the left
- In Handshake – access "Events"
Please contact Melissa Salva, Director of Employer Engagement, with any questions about recruiting events.

All interviews will take place virtually, but the scheduling process will vary by firm. Some interviews will be scheduled via IsenbergWorks per our normal process and take place on one specific date (see calendar). Other interviews will take place over the course of multiple days/weeks and will be scheduled directly by the firms themselves. However, the application process for each firm will originate in IsenbergWorks – all firm postings should be accessible in the system by Feb. 1st. Please be sure to check your email regularly, and carefully read all interview and connection instructions you receive.
