The Channing L. Bete Communication Center's mission is to help students become effective professional communicators by providing feedback to Isenberg students, as well as curriculum consultation and support for Isenberg faculty.
Students receive guidance in audience analysis, content and argument development, grammar and mechanics, and editing and revising. To assist them in improving their writing, we teach students how to revise effectively as well provide tools and resources they can use to edit and proofread their work.
The Center also helps students strengthen their oral communication skills by teaching strategies for presentation content, audience analysis, design of visuals, and polished and professional delivery in order to enhance students’ overall skills as successful business communicators.
Students may visit the Center individually or as part of a small work team to receive feedback on writing and speaking assignments or for edits on career, scholarship/grant or graduate program materials.
The Center is staffed by full-time faculty from Isenberg’s Business Communication Program.
