The Isenberg Class of 2026 is invited to attend its inaugural induction! The event is for first-year students - and their families - who began their academic career at UMass Amherst Fall 2022.

Can any student in the Class of 2026 attend?

The Isenberg Class of 2026 Induction is intended for first-year students who began their academic career at UMass Amherst Fall 2022.

What is the attire?

Attire is casual.

Will students be seated on a stage?

Students will be seated with families in the audience.

Is seating reserved?

Seating is first come, first serve in the Student Union Ballroom. Guests will be able to enter the Student Union Ballroom starting 30 minutes prior to each Induction.

Where should we park?

We are currently working with Parking Services on the best parking guidance. This webpage will be updated once we receive guidance for family parking.

Is this event free?

Yes, the Isenberg Class of 2026 Induction, and the Reception, is a free event.

I RSVP’d for my family, should I receive a ticket?

Thank you for RSVP’ing! This is a non-ticketed event. Families will check in before entering the Student Union Ballroom.

The 5:30 PM event doesn’t work for my family, but the 4:00 PM option is full. Is there any way you can accept one more family?

At this time, the 4:00 PM Induction is full to capacity. If a family cancels their reservation for the 4:00 PM event, we will be able to register families for the 4:00 PM Induction using the waitlist. We will communicate updates using the parent email address provided during the RSVP process.

Where should my family park for the Induction?

The Parking Garage is the closest parking option to access the Student Union. The Parking Garage will be free on Family Weekend. ADA parking, with a ramp leading to the exit of the garage, is available on Level 3.
