Sponsored by the Office of ACES/CMASS, in honor of Native American History Month, our presenter, Chief Don Stevens, Chief of the Abenaki Tribe, will hold a lecture about the importance of the Harvest Dinner with the Abenaki Tribe. In this lecture, the presenter will discuss how the meal, in Abenaki culture, features food from the fall harvest to celebrate seasonal bounty.  The presenter will discuss how showcasing seasonal ingredients like pumpkins, squash, and root vegetables, along with a focus on locally sourced and seasonal fare.  To receive credit, scan the QR Code onsite during the event.

Seminar: Presenter Discussion on Sketchfab and Artifact Preservation

Sponsored by the Office of ACES, in honor of Native American History Month, this seminar discusses the use of Sketchfab to preserve important Native American artifacts of the Abenaki Tribe. Our presenter, Chief Don Stevens, Chief of the Abenaki Tribe, will walk attendees through the digital preservation process and sharing the historical and business related significance for creating a digitized artifacts inventory. With the ease and popularity of 3D scanning, the presenter will discuss the various cultural artifacts appearing on Sketchfab for preservation purposes to share the cultural heritage of the Abenaki Tribe.
