Three Isenberg alumni from Bose Corporation's Business Intelligence Group shared business and career insights with Isenberg students in Business Intelligence & Analytics, an undergraduate course taught by Traci Hess, an associate professor in Isenberg's Department of Operations & Information Management.
"The business model [for professional sports] has changed 100% since I got in," emphasized hockey uber-executive Brian Burke in a lecture to the UMass Amherst community on April 16. Burke's lecture was a highlight of his week-long visit to Isenberg as this spring's Executive in Residence with the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management.
A gift of twelve Bloomberg terminals to Isenberg from the investment management firm, Babson Capital Management, is giving Isenberg students a competitive edge and convenient, hands-on access to the investment industry standard in navigating financial and news data bases. Isenberg's finance department and the School's Technology Support Services are offering training sessions on the machines to all Isenberg students and faculty.
Stephanie Menezes, an Isenberg sophomore majoring in management, is one of five 2013 national recipients of a $10,000 scholarship from the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars program. The scholarships recognize students who "initiate a service or volunteer program that directly impacts or actively engages their campus community." Menezes created Run4Fun, a program that promotes running among children, ages 8-13.
Dennis Hanno is Isenberg Accounting Alumnus of the Year

Dennis Hanno'90 Ph.D. CPA, Graduate Dean and Vice Provost at Babson College and former Associate Dean for Undergraduate Matters at Isenberg, will be honored on April 18th by Isenberg's Department of Accounting as its Alumnus of the Year. Since leaving the School, Hanno has remained true to his accounting and Isenberg roots.

Schor '89 Ph.D., Facilitating Leader & Chief Culture Officer with Eileen Fisher, Inc., a high-profile designer and retailer of women's clothing, will visit Isenberg as Department of Management Executive in Residence, April 1st-4th. During her residency, Schor will share management insights in Isenberg classes and give a lecture to the Isenberg community on April 1 at 4 p.m. in Isenberg room 210.
