Also posted will be the most current semster registration information. Remember although you can see CPE/Continuing & Professional Education online courses in SPIRE, you can NOT register or drop courses through SPIRE. You register, add and drop courses through CPE www.umassulearn.net.

Wintersession 2009 Online gen-ed guide

Wintersession 2009 is scheduled to be the last full wintersession due to the University updating the academic calendar in which the Spring semster will start mid January.

Financial Aid Information

A degree-status student enrolled in at least six credits during a semester may be eligible for a subsidized or unsubsidized loan. U.S. citizens and resident aliens applying for aid may submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid ( FAFSA ) form to the appropriate processing center by March 1st, priority date. However, it may be submitted at a later date. For specific aid information, please contact Marianna McKim at 413.545.3353 or at marianna@finaid.umass.edu. Another great resource is the Continuing & Professional Education Financial Aid Website.


Graduating Students

Intent to Graduate form

In order to receive your diploma you must complete the "Intent to Graduate" form. See link provided above.


Please check SPIRE to see that your "Expected Graduation Term" is correct. This is near the bottom of the first page when you log in to your SPIRE account.
If it is not correct, let me know so I can have it updated.


Non-Photo Student ID

Distance Learning ID Card

As an Online student you qualify for the Distance Learning ID Card, a non-photo student ID card.
