General Program Information

• All business courses are offered online, enabling you to take courses anytime, anywhere, eliminating schedule conflicts and commutes.

• This is an Isenberg School of Management AACSB Accredited Program.

• You will receive the same University of Massachusetts Amherst degree as the on-campus students.

• University of Massachusetts is accredited by the National Education Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

• A BBA degree is a degree in Business Administration in the Undergraduate level.



Curriculum and Faculty

• The Isenberg School of Management Online BBA Degree Program is modeled after the successful on-campus program, offering the same curriculum with the same Isenberg faculty and Graduate students teaching the online courses. • Online courses are very similar to on-campus courses; the only difference is that you can log on and "attend" courses at your convenience.

• There are time sensitive homework assignments and exams that are all online.

• You will be able to discuss questions with your professors and classmates through email or threaded discussions. In a threaded discussion, you can see the entire dialogue between you, your classmates, and professor.

• The Online BBA Degree Program follows the same on-campus academic structure with fall and spring semesters. In addition, you will need to take some courses during the summer and the winter term is optional.

Online BBA requirement summary, choose a major in Management or Marketing.

• Management is a general business degree and Marketing is a more focused degree.



Advising

• An advising session every semester is suggested to check in about the progress of the individualized degree completion plan.

• Advising sessions are available via email, phone, or in person.

• You will work with an advisor on a Degree Completion Plan when you are accepted into the program. This will take into consideration when courses are generally offered, course prerequisites and how many courses during which semsters works best for your personal schedule.

Admissions, Tuition, and Financial Aid

• An applicant to the online program should have completed approximately two years of college- level coursework, or 60 semester credits.

• Coursework should include introductory business courses, Isenberg requirements; Calculus, Statistics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics, and courses in the liberal arts areas that will fulfill University requirements.

• You can transfer a maximum of 75 credits, 45 credits must be taken through UMass Amherst.

• Online Business courses cost $475 per credit, plus a $45 registration fee. Currently all business courses are 3 credits. The fees are the same for in-state, out-of-state and out-of country
students.
• To apply for financial aid, please fill out the FAFSA form at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The University of Massachusetts Amherst is 002221. For further information on financial aid, please contact Marianna McKim at 413.545.3353 or at marianna@finaid.umass.edu.

• A waiver does not apply for our courses, unless you are a state employee. Please contact the Continuing & Professional Education Business office for more information at 413.545.0337 or busoff@contined.umass.edu.

Registration

Registration is handled through Continuing & Professional Education website www.umassulearn.net.



Graduation Requirements

A minimum of 120 credits are required to graduate.
Up to 75 college level semester credits may be transferred in.
At least 45 credits must be taken through UMass Amherst/UMA, up to 15 of these credits may be taken as a non-degree student.
At least 30 credits must be taken through UMA starting with your semester of acceptance into the BBA program.
A students last 30 credits must be taken through UMA.

Graduated students receive diplomas approximately 3 months after the official posting of their last semester grades, pending submission of Intent to Graduate form including payment of UMA Graduation fee.

Summer last semester = September Graduate

Fall last semester         = February Graduate

Spring last semester     = May Graduate
